I've also seen Comma, Peacock, Painted Lady, Large White and Small Copper butterflies in October.
October plants
Michaelmas Daisy, Hebe, Buddleia weyeriana, Verbena bonariensis and Cimicifuga are plants that I have seen butterflies visiting in October.
